How we operate
Discovery Phase: We will define the scope and determine your vision to understand what it is that you want to achieve: Whether it’s attracting investors, marketing a new space, or telling your story. We make sure that we understand your end goal completely so we can prescribe the correct solution: selecting the appropriate drones, cameras, or helicopters, choosing the right crew to do the job, and identifying the limitations we foresee. We believe the best way to do this is by asking a lot of questions.
If during this phase we realize we would need specialized research (specialized equipment, modifications, and unconventional operation), we would require a research fee. Once the fee is paid, the research can begin, which may take several hours to a couple of days.
Preparation: During the scout, we may do a test flight if allowed/specified.
We monitor the weather closely to make sure the shot and the look is what you want. If the weather isn’t ideal, we won’t push you just to shoot. We want to make sure you are satisfied with the weather so you won’t have to reshoot if conditions aren’t ideal.
Before the shoot, we also bring a backup drone or two, unless otherwise specified. We believe 1 drone = no drone and two drones = one drone.
The shoot:
We analyze the landscape for any changes from the day of the scout. We look for hazards and obstacles so that we can avoid them.
We only launch when the conditions (environment, hardware, and software) are safe.
Throughout the shoot, we switch through multiple memory cards in the unlikely case the drone is lost.
Before we wrap, we let you review what we shot, verify and double-check that you have everything you need before heading out.
After the shoot:
We back up the footage onto at least two hard drives using ShotPut Pro, a professional offloading software which checks all copies for accuracy.
We will send you the files via Google Drive. It will remain on the cloud for 30 days
We cycle through memory cards and don’t format immediately so originals are preserved for typically a week or more on the memory cards.
